NEWS (November 2003): Our Local Scene in Watercolour

The next meeting of SLHS will take place on Thursday 13th November at 7:45 pm at St. Andrew's Church, Bilston Street, Sedgley.

Landscape artist Ray Whitehouse is making his first visit to the Society to display and talk about his watercolours on the waterways of Sedgley Manor.

Ray recently finished a project researching and recording the Birmingham Canal Navigation and its surroundings as it cuts through the Black Country. His sketches and paintings pay particular attention to the stretch through Coseley and Bradley highlighting a landscape many choose to ignore. The watercolours are a delight to see bringing to life canal scenes that deserve to be visited - part of our local heritage and now a leisure facility.

Details of Ray's work can be found at his website: www.raymondwhitehouse.co.uk.

As usual visitors are most welcome.
