A Grave Subject

The next meeting of the Society takes place on Thursday 8th February at 7:30 pm in St. Andrew’s Church, Bilston Street, Sedgley.

Ian Bott, the ever popular Wednesbury based local historian and author, will be presenting an illustrated talk guaranteed to grip the imagination.

Ian looks at the Black Country’s way of death through macabre and humorous stories – many associated with beautiful parish churches. There are inscriptions on headstones and memorials, tales of ‘body snatchers’ and anecdotes aplenty.

As usual visitors are invited to come along – cost £1.
