Lost Mansions of the Black Country

The next meeting of the Society takes place on Thursday 13th February at 7:30 pm in St. Andrew’s Church, Bilston Street, Sedgley.

Ian Bott, the ever popular Wednesbury historian, will be presenting an illustrated talk about grand houses before their destruction through fire, demolition or neglect.

This is a unique opportunity to see pictures of the big houses that have slipped away including Bentley Hall, Oakswell Hall and Whitley Court together with a clutch of properties in Sedgley Manor such as Ellowes Hall, Parkes Hall, Netherby Hall and Willingsworth Hall.

As usual visitors are invited to come along – cost £1

The evening is sponsored by Tipton & Coseley Building Society.
