Discovering Dudley – An Update

The Society’s next meeting takes place on Thursday 14th February 2008 at 7:30pm in St. Andrew’s Church, Bilston Street, Sedgley.

The speaker is Peter Boland the Principal Conservation Officer of Dudley M. B. His illustrated talk will cover the regeneration of Dudley town centre and the opportunities for revealing a rich heritage dating back to medieval times.

In strategic regional proposals Dudley has just been designated as the Black Country’s 'centre for heritage and tourism'. Consequently the importance of local heritage and conservation issues has been raised to a much higher level, ensuring public interest and debate will intensify.

As usual visitors are invited to come along. Individual talks cost £1.
