The Whitehouse Diaries

The next meeting of the Society takes place on Thursday 11th May 2006 at 7:30 pm in St. Andrew’s Church, Bilston Street, Sedgley.

The Annual General Meeting is followed by Society members, Lorna Stevens and Trevor Genge, presenting an illustrated talk about the Whitehouse family. They have researched family diaries to reveal a wealth of detail about the Victorian iron masters who were also landowners and local benefactors.

The Coseley ironworks failed before the First World War and the family homes, Townsend House and Turls Hill House, no longer stand.
