Ian Beach, the Aussie based webmaster of Sedgleymanor.com, submitted the first correct answer and added some interesting notes:

I think the photo is of the Parkes Hall Pool in Woodsetton.

In the 1930s the pool house (since demolished) was occupied by a John Millard (my Maternal Grandmother's brother) who acted as fishing warden and also sold eggs produced by poultry kept within the pool grounds.

According to my mother there was a tragic boating accident sometime around the mid 1930s at the pool when John's son, also named John, was drowned apparently falling out of a boat in mid steam. As children growing up in the area in the 1950s we were always told that the pool was bottomless, probably just to keep us away from it!
