Only Society member Paul Wakelam knew the whereabouts of this picture. The view is across land once worked by Ettingshall Park Farm and now known as Springvale Park. The houses follow the rise of Wolverhampton Road East towards Sedgley.

The farmhouse, much changed and extended over the years, was demolished in the late 1950s. The extensive residential development that followed is still dotted with mature trees - a reminder of an agricultural scene that saw fields ploughed on the slopes of Beacon Hill.
